Any puppy or adult dog going to a new home will be up-to-date on all appropriate vaccinations and worming.  All my dogs are given heart worm preventative year round.  All puppies/dogs will be, to the best of my knowledge, healthy when they leave for their new home. 

Unless it specifically states that a puppy or dog is being sold as “pet only”, breeding rights are included in the price.  I give a discount if you agree to spay or neuter and the registration application will be appropriately marked as “not for breeding.”

Any puppy/young adult sold as breeding quality will be guaranteed up to the age of two against genetic defects – correct bite, eyes, and hips.    However, if the puppy/young adult is bred before the age of two, this guarantee is voided.   Proof of any of these defects must be provided by a licensed veterinarian (bite exam), CERF examination (eyes), and either OFA or PennHip exam (hips) with a rating of less than Fair or equivalent.  At that time, I will either provide another puppy as a replacement or refund all or part of the purchase price – this will be done based on our discussion at that time and may depend on whether you want to keep the original puppy.

I occasionally have young adults and older dogs available for sale or placement.  They may be dogs that have not turned out exactly as I was hoping or that are being retired from breeding.  These dogs will be placed with the main consideration being their best interests.  Many times I will place these dogs free of charge to the new owner.  If you are interested in any adult dog advertised on my site as available, you need to contact me to see if I am selling or placing that dog. 

I do not require anyone complete an application for one of my dogs but I do screen potential new homes and make sure that I am comfortable the puppy or dog is going to an appropriate, loving environment.  My main concern is that any puppy or dog leaving my home goes to the best environment possible – either a loving pet home or a small, well-run breeding program.  I will not sell a puppy or dog to an agent for resale to pet stores and I will not sell to anyone running a puppy mill – which I define as anyone running a breeding program strictly for profit and that does not provide basic, good care for their breeding animals.  Another indication of a puppy mill is usually a large number of dogs, however, a small breeder that does not provide proper care for their animals falls into this category for me as well.
